 First Presbyterian Church of Pound is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA. We are committed to the Christian faith as revealed in the divinely-inspired Holy Bible and, secondarily, as summarized in the Apostle's Creed and the Westminister of Faith.
We believe that faithful membership in the Christ's Church includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Confession that Jesus Christ is our Lord and the belief God raised Christ from the dead. 2. Faith in, and reliance upon, the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross as the only means by which the sin of human beings may be forgiven and by which the sinful humanity may be reconciled to God.
3. Openness to the conviction, guidance, and encouragement and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
4.Commitment to take part in, and support, the worship and work of Christ's Church throughout the world and the worship and work of the local congregation. |
